Consultation has concluded

Over the past 9 years Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire have worked together with local bus operators and invested significantly in our bus network to improve the bus services connecting our communities.

Improvements to our public transport network include:

  • Investing in zero and low emission buses (e.g. biogas and electric).
  • Improving the exhaust systems on diesel buses to make them cleaner and greener.
  • Introducing digital ticketing, contactless payments and various travel cards.
  • Upgrading real time public transport information.
  • Ensuring buses have priority on the roads through bus lanes and traffic light priority systems.

We aim for these improvements to increase passengers’ confidence in the service and bus operators, encourage people to travel by bus rather than car more often, and ultimately support sustainable growth of our communities and significantly contribute to carbon neutral plans and local air quality objectives.

You can help support this work and shape future public transport projects within Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, Derby and Derbyshire by providing valuable feedback on your current travel habits and how well bus services and Real Time schedule information suits your needs.

You can complete the survey but following this link to Bus User Satisfaction Survey 2022. This is an external link and will take you a survey hosted by Nottingham City Council.

This consultation closes on 7th October 2022.
