Following consultation with local residents and parents, the statutory consultation process, and discussions with stakeholders, the decision was made to continue with the School Safe Haven proposal, with a slight modification to the restriction times.
The Zone will become operational from Monday 7th November 2022 and will be introduced on an experimental basis first. This means the new restriction will be temporary for a maximum period of 18 months before deciding whether it should be permanent. A period of public consultation will be undertaken as part of this process and will start when the Zone is introduced.
The Zone will cover Vicarage Road from its junction with Park Road to the junction of Farneworth Road.
The restriction will be operational term time only, Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 9:00am in the morning and from 3:00pm to 3:30pm in the afternoon.
