Invitation to Join the “Stronger Together Co-production initiative
In Adult Social Care, we are on a journey of improvement, with a strong commitment to placing people at the centre of everything we do. We have already begun implementing some positive changes, but it is crucial for us to hear from those who use social care support, as well as carers and partners, to understand how we are doing.
Going forward, we are keen to receive regular feedback and greater involvement with people in designing and shaping our services, and this includes developing a new Stronger Together Co-production network. By asking questions, learning, and working together, we can better support everyone involved with adult social care.
Who we’re inviting to join
This invite is primarily intended for anyone who has used, or is currently using, Derby City Council’s Adult Social Care services, as well as those who support or care for someone who does. If this applies to you, we warmly invite you to participate. If you are a partner organisation or staff member receiving this message, please assist us by sharing it with anyone you support who may be interested, we will contact you soon with further information on how you can get involved.
No special skills or training are required — we will support you throughout in a welcoming environment where every voice is valued. You can participate in whatever way suits you best, whether that’s completing a brief questionnaire, attending sessions, or engaging fully in the co-production process. We will maintain flexibility and ensure all updates are clear and easily accessible.
What happens next
We’re excited to be planning our first face-to-face Welcome Sessions for mid-January 2026! It’s a great opportunity to meet others, discover more about the group, and kick off this journey together. We’ll share all the details as soon as everything is confirmed.
