We are asking for views on our proposed Supported Housing Commitment.
The Supported Housing Commitment between Derby City Council and Providers of accommodation which has residents who are in receipt of Care, Support and or Supervision to help them to live independently.
Our aim in producing this "Commitment" is to provide clear guidance around the provision of good quality accommodation and support services for residents living in supported housing in Derby.
This commitment applies to residents occupying Supported Exempt and Specified Accommodation Provision as defined within the Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit (Consequential Provisions) Regulations 2006.
The commitment outlines the expected level of service that both Supported Housing Providers and Derby City Council will provide to residents and each other.
How Can I take Part?
Please read the consultation commitment document which sets out Supported Housing Providers and Derby City Council’s service levels that each can expect from the other to ensure safe and decent supported housing city wide.
We believe we can improve the quality of accommodation and support services and achieve a ‘value for money’ service in the supported housing sector through working in partnership and agreeing detailed service level commitments on both sides.
Through these agreed commitments we will improve outcomes for residents living in supported housing in the city to enable them to move on to more independent living. If you think we have missed anything or would like to comment on the proposed commitment, you can do this by:
By writing to the SEA Project Manager The Council House Corporation Street, Derby DE1 2FS
The closing date for the consultation is Friday 8 April 2024
If you would like this in any alternative formats please email SEA@derby.gov.uk or telephone SEA Project Manager on 01332 640000.
