Funding has been secured to refurbish the existing play area at Alvaston Park. This funding is from Section 106 contributions and Parks Capital Programme Fund.
The existing play area at Alvaston Park is 15 years old and the equipment is showing signs of its age. The majority of the existing equipment will be removed except the agility trail, junior climbing unit and basket swing.
Consultation with the local community over the summer and information from relevant disability organisations was used to inform a design brief for the new play area. A tender process has been completed and there are now six designs which we wish to get your feedback on. Please vote for your favourite design and let us know what you think.
