Climate change presents the biggest threat to life on Earth in modern times. It is unequivocal that human influence has warmed the atmosphere, ocean and land. There is now a climate emergency that we must address.
The goal is for Derby’s carbon emissions to benet zero by 2035.Net zero means not adding to the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Achieving it means reducing emissions as much as possible, as well as balancing out any that remain by removing an equivalent amount.

Our Climate Change Action Plan (CCAP) shows our actions to become net zero by 2035. This means that by 2035, we will have reduced our greenhouse gas emissions and have steps in place to remove any remaining emissions from the atmosphere.
Our current CCAP was approved in June 2022 and we are reporting every three months (quarterly) on our progress.
We want to know if you've read our CCAP and which team you work in.
