Derby and Derbyshire Health and Wellbeing Boards must prepare and publish a Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA). The purpose of the PNA is to assess whether there are enough pharmacies in Derby and Derbyshire and whether they provide the right services for local people now and in the future.
The assessment considers the populations of Derby and Derbyshire, their health needs and the community pharmacy services currently being provided.
Have your say
We would like you to read and comment on our draft PNA for 2025-2028. Your feedback will help us to determine whether the document accurately reflects the pharmaceutical services available in Derby and Derbyshire.
This 60-day consultation will close at 5pm on Friday 22 August2025.
We want to hear from a wide range of people to make sure that the information included within the PNA is accurate.
You can respond using our online questionnaire, which should only take about 5 to 10 minutes, depending on how much you want to comment.
What happens next?
Once the consultation has closed, we will analyse all the responses received and will consider if we need to make any changes to the PNA to produce a final version.
The final PNA document for 2025 to 2028 will be published by 1st October 2025.

If you have any questions about the survey, or if you would like the questionnaire in a paper form, another language or different format like large print or easy read then please contact the Public Health team on 01332 640000 or email: publichealth@derby.gov.uk
