In December 2022, Derby City Council received funding to establish a Supported Housing Review Team. This team is dedicated to ensuring that residents in supported housing live in decent homes and receive high-quality support services.

As part of this initiative, we are developing a Residents’ Rights Leaflet. This leaflet aims to inform residents of supported housing about their rights and provide guidance on what steps to take if they encounter issues. Our goal is to empower residents with the knowledge they need to advocate for themselves and ensure their living conditions meet appropriate standards.

Supported Housing is a stepping stone and here to help you during challenging times and guide you on your journey to independent living. As a resident, you have important rights that ensure your comfort and safety.

You can read our draft proposals in the SEA leaflet on the link here or on the right hand side of this page.

If you would like this information in an alternative format, a paper copy or more information then please contact Stevie Wild, Supported Housing Review Project Manager on email SEA@derby.gov.uk or telephone 01332 640000 or you can download our Easy Read version of the survey on the right hand side of this page.

  • Supported Housing is a stepping stone and here to help you during challenging times and guide you on your journey to independent living. As a resident, you have important rights that ensure your comfort and safety. We have worked with a group of residents to put together a draft set of rights for tenants.  We would now like to ask tenants and those who support them about the draft rights. You can view the full leaflet here (opens in a new window).  We have broken down each set of rights under headings over the next few pages.
