In March 2021 the government announced its Bus Back Better, National Bus Strategy, which was introduced to enhance the bus network and provide a better bus service across England. Derby City Council published its first Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) at the end of October 2021.

As part of this councils were asked to develop an Enhanced Partnership, where Derby City Council (as the Local Transport Authority), bus operators and other key stakeholders work together to develop and implement bus service improvements for local communities.

This stakeholder consultation is to hear from people and organisations who have an interest in making bus services work better.

We want to know your views on the proposals in our draft Enhanced Partnership (EP) Plan and Scheme. In this document we use the BSIP as a basis for your proposals and shows how we will, in partnership with all of the bus operators, intend to deliver the Bus Service Improvement Plan.

Please be aware this a technical document detailing the Partnership Plan and Scheme. It is important to read the document before responding. We recommend you grab a drink and set some time aside to read and respond.

Please submit your response to our proposals by midnight on Friday 16 September 2022
