Haslam’s Foundry
Consultation has concluded
Derby City Council is planning to redevelop the site of the former Haslam’s Foundry (Aida Engineering also known as Aida Bliss) on City Road to provide new affordable homes. We are proposing a mixture of apartments, houses, commercial units and the creation of open space on the site.
This would be the biggest investment in new Council homes in Derby for over 40 years, so we want to get it right. We are sharing our plans so that local residents and anyone with an interest can comment on them, and help us to improve them before we submit a planning application.
Before you complete the survey, we recommend you look at our background document. It will tell you about:
History and heritage
Flood risk
Do we need more council homes?
Can we re-use the existing buildings?

This survey is in six parts:
Apartments
Houses at south of site

Each part will explain one aspect of the proposed redevelopment, including some images taken from the full plans (which you can download on the right with our video which takes you on virtual walk through of our plans).
