Consultation has concluded

Following on from our recent consultations on school safe haven zones and the moving traffic offences we are now inviting comments on our proposals to introduce new moving traffic enforcement powers on the following areas.

Monitoring of the current School Safe Haven Zones has revealed that a high number of drivers continue to ignore the restrictions. This detracts from the schemes achieving their aims and objectives.

The Council hopes to receive new moving traffic enforcement powers by July 2022 and intends to use these to enhance the current enforcement of the yellow zig zag markings within School Safe Haven zones. The new powers will allow the Council to enforce the restrictions recently introduced as part of the moving traffic offences project.

You can comment about these new enforcement powers being used for the School Safe Haven zones by emailing schoolparkingproblems@derby.gov.uk by 30 June 2022

An online public consultation event will be held on Thursday 23 June, 2022, at 11am, the link for this meeting can be found here: Click here to join the meeting
